If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you may have noticed that I didn’t post any NaNoWriMo updates after I announced my intention to focus on editing, rather than writing. That’s because I did very little of either. The book I intended to edit is less than a quarter done. There were some extenuating circumstances-namely the bushfires¹ and a ridiculously long stomach bug, but I don’t think those are the only reasons I didn’t get all the editing done that I wanted to. I think I used those (real) issues as an excuse to (really) procrastinate. So I’m trying again!I’m not just going to say ‘Well, too bad’ and wait another year to try and smash out some solid writing work. NaNoWriMo may be in November for other people, but I’m making it December for me, why not?
If you didn’t get everything you wanted done in November, or maybe you did and you have some motivation left over because you’re some kind of wizard, I encourage you to join me in NaNoWriMo part ii: The Writening.
¹Which remain ongoing, but no longer actively threaten my house, so that’s nice; the smoke though, remains prevalent and the sleep required for me to deal with constantly breathing in said smoke remains lengthy)
